“A religious, or spiritual
experience, is the act of giving up
reliance on one’s own omnipotence.” Dr. Harry Tiebout,
September 1944, Anytime you feel discord, it's an outcome of
believing something that's not true. Life begins where fear
ends. ~ OSHO "Everything can be
taken from a man or a woman but one thing: the last of human freedoms
to choose one's attitude in any given set of
circumstances, to choose one's own
way." ~Viktor E. Frankl |

Big Book Quote "We found that God does not make too hard terms with those
who seek Him. To us, the Realm of Spirit is broad, roomy, all inclusive;
never exclusive or forbidding to those who earnestly seek. It is open,
we believe, to all men." ~Alcoholics Anonymous, 4th Edition, We Agnostics, Page 46~ |

Daily Reflection READINESS TO SERVE OTHERS . . . our Society has concluded that it has but one high mission—to carry the A.A. message to those who don't know there's a way out TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 151 The "Light" to freedom shines bright on my fellow alcoholics as each one of us challenges the other to grow. The "Steps" to self-improvement have small beginnings, but each Step builds the "ladder" out of the pit of
despair to new hope. Honesty becomes my "tool" to unfurl the "chains" which bound me. A sponsor, who is a caring listener, can help me to truly hear the message guiding me to freedom. I ask God for the courage to live in such a way that the Fellowship may be a testimony to His favor. This mission frees me to share my gifts of wellness through a spirit of readiness to serve
others. |

Pot Luck Today's quotation: Feeling grateful to or appreciative of
someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that
you appreciate and value into your life. ~ Christiane Northrup Today's Meditation: Gratitude is one of the strongest magnets in
the world. When we feel and express our gratitude, then we're opening
doors and windows through which many good things can flow into our
lives. If we keep those doors and windows closed, though, we can count
on not attracting to ourselves very many of the things that truly count in
life, such as good people and good things. Appreciation--sincere appreciation, that
is--is one of the keys to a rich, full life. Appreciation and gratitude
prove that we don't take things for granted, that we're not expecting certain
things simply as a matter of course in our lives. And because life tends
to mirror to us just what we give to life, it can give us back more to be
grateful for only when we feel and show our sincere gratitude. Yesterday someone came and took away the
trash that we left outside. Most people see this as a normal part of
life--of course they took the trash away, for that's their job. But when
I think of all the work I would need to do if these people didn't provide
this service to me, I'm filled with gratitude that their service allows me to
focus on other things in my life. People also keep the water flowing in
our town, and they keep the electricity coming to our home. People stock
the shelves at the supermarket so that I can buy the foods I need and want,
people drive trucks to deliver the gasoline to the stations where I buy gas.
. . and on and on. If you want to have in your life more of the
things that you value deeply, then it's important to feel and to show
gratitude and appreciation--two of the most important magnets in our lives
that so many people neglect as they take things for granted. |
