Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not, and oftentimes we call a man cold when he is only sad.” “One of the delights known to age, and beyond the grasp of youth, is that of Not Going.” “We cannot wholly rely on friends to solve all our
difficulties. A good adviser will never do all our thinking for us. He knows that each final choice must be ours.” ~AA Co-Founder, Bill W., August 1961 Keep something beautiful in your heart to survive difficult times and enjoy good times." - John O'Donohue |

DAILY
REFLECTIONS THE HEART OF TRUE SOBRIETY We find that no one need have difficulty with
the spirituality of the program. Willingness, honesty
and open-mindedness are the essentials of recovery. But these are
indispensable. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 570 Am I honest enough to accept myself as I am and
let this be the "me" that I let others see? Do
I have the willingness to go to any length, to do whatever is
necessary to stay sober? Do I have the open-mindedness to hear
what I have to hear, to think what I have to think, and to
feel what I have to feel? If my answer to these questions is
"Yes," I know enough about the spirituality of the program to stay
sober. As I continue to work the Twelve Steps, I move on to
the heart of true sobriety: serenity with myself, with
others, and with God as I understand Him. |

POT LUCK Let Go, Let God I let go, let God, and know deep, lasting peace. When I feel
overwhelmed by worry, can't see the
way forward. If I try to
overcome these mental and emotional obstacles from my human perspective, my
confusion and anxiety will likely increase. When it seems
there's no way, I remind myself that God is the way. In this
awareness, I free myself from whatever disturbs me. Little by little, by
letting go of worry, I regain my serenity. By spiritually surrendering,
troubling circumstances become orderly and harmonious, and the greatest good
manifests without struggle. Letting go
and letting God is an act of faith and the most empowering thing I can do. For
surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare
and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. -Jeremiah
