Wherever I go and whatever I do, I know that God is with me, that God loves me. Divine love goes with
me even to the farthest points of the world. I allow myself to feel
secure, for God’s love for me is unfailing and without end.
There is nothing I could ever do that would separate me from God’s loving, protective presence. So I let go worries, I let go fears, I let go anything that creates a doubt in my mind. I trust in God with all
my heart, and I experience peace that is divine. ~unattributed "Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to
live as one wishes to live.” ~Oscar Wilde We all have such a marvelous opportunity in this life to evolve, grow, and move more and more toward becoming all we
can be. At the end of our lives, who we are and what that has
contributed to the process of healing the planet will probably be much
more important than anything we have produced or done for money, fame, or
power. We are a piece of the puzzle of the universe. Taking our place as the fullest piece we can be will probably be our
most precious contribution. -Anne Wilson Schaef Wisdom is the reward you get for a lifetime of listening when you’d have
preferred to talk. -Doug Larson |

DAILY
REFLECTIONS SACRIFICE
= UNITY = SURVIVAL The
unity, the effectiveness, and even the survival of A.A. will
always depend upon our continued willingness to give up some
of our personal ambitions and desires for the common
safety and welfare. Just as sacrifice means survival
for the individual alcoholic, so does sacrifice mean unity
and survival for the group and for A.A. 's entire Fellowship. AS BILL
SEES IT, p. 220 I have
learned that I must sacrifice some of my personality traits for
the good of A.A. and, as a result, I have been rewarded
with many gifts. False pride can be inflated through
prestige but, by living Tradition Six, I receive the gift of
humility instead. Cooperation without affiliation is often
deceiving. If I remain unrelated to outside interests, I am free to
keep A.A. autonomous. Then the Fellowship will be here, healthy and
strong for generations to come. |

POT LUCK Walk In
Dry Places Liking
Ourselves Self-esteem. It's
maybe unsettling to learn that we need to like ourselves more, especially
when we've often been accused of being conceited. Being
conceited does not mean liking oneself; it's really a matter of being smug
and contemptuous in our dealing with others. This attitude is easily
recognized by others, and it causes them to dislike us. However,
if we like ourselves in the right way, others sense this too, and they will
be drawn to us. We will truly like ourselves more as we learn to practice the
principles of AA. We will like the kind of life we are trying to live. We
will like ourselves for practicing fairness and honesty. We will also like
ourselves for letting people see us as we are and feel comfortable doing so.
In liking ourselves, we feel no need to impress or dazzle others. I'll
remember today that I have a right to be in the world. I will do my best to
be fair toward others, but I will like myself regardless of their reactions. |
