“I must continue to see my own kinship with whatever God is identifiable, just as relentlessly as I work to make each minute a sober one.” ~Sparks, Nev., August 1969 It’s easy to overlook the mundane, everyday experiences that contribute to who we are
becoming. These experiences strengthen our willingness to be patient with and accepting of others. The quiet experiences of daily life can teach us to set aside intolerance and judgment of others. Learning to love will
have a positive impact on every aspect of our lives. -unattributed "Honesty is the first chapter in the book of
wisdom." ~Thomas Jefferson Sometimes your only available transportation is a leap of
faith. ~Margaret Shepard |

BIG BOOK QUOTE Many times I have gone to my old hospital in despair. On
talking to a man there, I would be amazingly lifted up and set on my feet. It
is a design for living that works in rough going. P15 |

DAILY
REFLECTIONS TRUSTING OTHERS But does
trust require that we be blind to other people's motives
or, indeed, to our own? Not at all; this would be folly.
Most certainly, we should assess the capacity for harm as
well as the capability for good in every person that we would
trust. Such a private inventory can reveal the degree
of confidence we should extend in any given situation. AS BILL
SEES IT, p. 144 I am not
a victim of others, but rather a victim of my expectations,
choices and dishonesty. When I expect others to be
what I want them to be and not who they are, when they
fail to meet my expectations, I am hurt. When my choices
are based on self-centeredness, I find I am lonely and
distrustful. I gain confidence in myself, however, when I
practice honesty in all my affairs. When I search my motives
and am honest and trusting, I am aware of the capacity
for harm in situations and can avoid those that are harmful. |

POT LUCK Freedom Releasing
false and limiting beliefs, I
find my freedom. Holding
on to outmoded ideas or clinging to ways of thinking that do not reflect who
1 am stunts my growth and keeps my life small. Longing for spiritual freedom
is the call of my heart to break free from who I was and fully embrace who I
feel called to be. I gain my freedom by claiming my spiritual identity, the
truth of myself as a child of God, made in the image and likeness of the
Divine. I’m
able to express my divine talents and abilities. I liberate myself from
thoughts of lack, limitation, hopelessness, and unhappiness. I realize there
is power in my words and that I create my life through my thoughts. I now
think and speak of happiness, health, joy, peace, and abundance, and I know
true freedom. |
