"Everyone is looking for happiness and avoiding
suffering. This is the purpose of philosophy, the basis of all religion and the drive to create indoor plumbing." ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche “I’m learning the freedom that comes with facing my problems fearlessly and without resistance. They are not all resolved, but I’ve done my part. God will take it from there.” ~ Laguna Beach, California, March 1975 When one tries to extend his power over objects, those objects gain control of him. -- Chuang Tzu "We must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our
journey." If You'd Like To

BIG
BOOK QUOTE Our
book is meant to be suggestive only. We realize we know only a little. God
will constantly disclose more to you and to us. Ask Him in your morning
meditation what you can do each day for the man who is still sick. The
answers will come, if your own house is in order. P164 |

DAILY
REFLECTIONS GUIDANCE . .
. this means a belief in a Creator who is all power, justice,
and love; a God who intends for me a purpose, a meaning,
and a destiny to grow, however . . . haltingly, toward
His own likeness and image. AS
BILL SEES IT, p. 51 As I
began to understand my own powerlessness and my dependence
on God, as I understand Him, I began to see that
there was a life which, if I could have it, I would have chosen
for myself from the beginning. It is through the continuing
work of the Steps and the life in the Fellowship that
I've learned to see that there is truly a better way into which
I am being guided. As I come to know more about God, I
am able to trust His ways and His plans for the development
of His character in me. Quickly or not so quickly,
I grow toward His own image and likeness. |

POT LUCK "All that pain has value." When I came into the rooms, I was buried in shame. Without
alcohol to escape into, I was overwhelmed with remorse over many of my
actions. As I moved toward working the Fourth Step, I was desperately afraid
of what I would find in the abyss of self. I was sure that once I uncovered
how bad I really was, no one—including myself—would accept me. I was
definitely at a jumping-off place.
