“Laughter is one of God’s greatest and most beneficent gifts
to us. Laugh with him sometimes at yourself.” ~New York, N. Y., November 1946
there is no more fear, and when there is no more fear, you think, speak and act differently." ~Eckhart Tolle When you begin to touch your heart or let your heart be touched, you begin to discover that it's bottomless, that it doesn't have any resolution, that this heart is huge, vast, and limitless. You begin to discover how much warmth and gentleness is there, as well as how much space.’ ~Pema Chödrön Though uncertain about what the blessing might be or how the blessing would be delivered, I walked in trust. I trusted that something greater than myself lived in me and would see me through. |

BIG BOOK QUOTE Do not let any prejudice you may have against spiritual terms
deter you from honestly asking yourself what they mean to you. At the start,
this was all we needed to commence spiritual growth, to effect our first
conscious relation with God as we understood Him. P47 |

DAILY
REFLECTIONS FREE AT
LAST Another
great dividend we may expect from confiding our defects to
another human being is humility —a word often misunderstood.
. . . it amounts to a clear recognition of what and
who we really are, followed by a sincere attempt to become
what we could be. TWELVE STEPS
AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 58 I knew deep
inside that if I were ever to be joyous, happy and free, I
had to share my past life with some other individual.
The joy and relief I experienced after doing so were beyond
description. Almost immediately after taking the Fifth
Step, I felt free from the bondage of self and the bondage of
alcohol. That freedom remains after 36 years, a day at a
time. I found that God could do for me what I couldn't do
for myself. |
|
POT LUCK Harmony Harmony guides my words and
actions. Living in harmony with others,
doing my part to heal and preserve my relationships helps me hind the good in
this often-trou-bled world. I may not be able to heal
discord among neighbors and nations, but I can tend to my own heart. I can
reach out in a spirit of care and compassion to lend a helping hand or a
listening ear. Even more important, I can communicate calmly in times of
disagreement, offering forgiveness and practicing acceptance of the people in
my life. My faith in the power of
harmonious living remains unshakable. When I greet others with positivity and
understanding, I am healing and brightening my small corner of this planet. |
