Your Daily Reprieve for Friday March 20,
2026 From Ponte Vedra,

There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind "Some people say, 'when things change, that's when I will be happy, but when I choose to be happy, that's when things will change.'" From the book "Wisdom, Magic, and Miracles". “Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.” “Distilled Spirits,” Indianapolis, Indiana, August 1982 Comparison will either make you feel superior or inferior. Neither honors God. |

BIG
BOOK QUOTE Burn the idea into the consciousness of every man that he can
get well regardless of anyone. The only condition is that he trust in God and
clean house. P98 |

Daily Thought ^*^*^*^*^ (\ ~~ /) ( \(AA)/ ) (_ /AA\ _) / AA \ ^*^*^*^*^ Insecurity The achievement of freedom from fear is a lifetime undertaking,
one that can never be wholly completed. When under heavy attack, acute
illness, or in other conditions of serious insecurity, we shall all react,
well or badly, as the case may be. Only the vainglorious claim perfect
freedom from fear, though their very grandiosity is really rooted in the
fears they have temporarily forgotten. Bill W., January 1962 c. 1988 AA Grapevine, The Language of the Heart, p.

DAILY
REFLECTIONS LOVE AND
TOLERANCE Love and
tolerance of others is our code. ALCOHOLICS
ANONYMOUS, p. 84 I have
found that I have to forgive others in all situations to maintain
any real spiritual progress. The vital importance of
forgiving may not be obvious to me at first sight, but my studies
tell me that every great spiritual teacher has insisted strongly
upon it. I must
forgive injuries, not just in words, or as a matter of form,
but in my heart. I do this not for the other persons' sake, but
for my own sake. Resentment, anger, or a desire to see
someone punished, are things that rot my soul. Such things
fasten my troubles to me with chains. They tie me to other
problems that have nothing to do with my original problem. |
|
POT LUCK "My
definition of balance is being able to obsess equally in all areas of my
life!" As an alcoholic, I completely
understand all-or-nothing thinking. When I was in my disease, I used to
obsessively plan out my drinking and using, always making sure I had the
right amount available to me, and I would even drink before meeting friends
at the bar so that I could pretend to drink like them. In the end, my
obsession consumed me and drove me into the rooms. Once I started working the
Steps, I began obsessing on other things. For a while I was consumed with
dying, sure I had done irreparable damage to myself during my years of abuse.
Next I became obsessed with the fear of financial insecurity, this time convinced
I had ruined my professional future. And then I got into a relationship, and
that obsession nearly drove me to drink. During my Sixth Step, I realized
that I had to surrender my obsessive thinking if I wanted to stay sober.
