Your Daily Reprieve for Tuesday June 17, 2025 From Waynesville,

The unfortunate thing about this world is that good habits are so much easier to give up than bad ones. -Somerset Maugham “There will always be people in the Fellowship with whom I don’t see eye-to-eye, but that doesn’t mean we can’t work together. The Fellowship wouldn’t be what it is today if we always saw eye-to-eye on everything.” ~Goffstown, New Hampshire, September 1994 I think what we are all really seeking is a living and healthy tradition, something that isn’t just about words or arguments, but that is about life in all its fullness and about deep, deep love—a love for this earth, a love for each other, and a love for God who we experience both within us and all around us. To love is to place our happiness in the happiness of another. -Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibnitz |

Daily
Reflection "DEEP
DOWN WITHIN US" We found
the Great Reality deep down within us. In the last analysis
it is only there that He may be found. . . . search diligently
within yourself. . . . With this attitude you cannot fail.
The consciousness of your belief is sure to come to you. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS,
p. 55 It was out
of the depths of loneliness, depression and despair
that I sought the help of A.A. As I recovered and began to
face the emptiness and ruin of my life, I began to open myself
to the possibility of the healing that recovery offers
through the A.A. program. By coining to meetings, staying
sober, and taking the Steps, I had the opportunity to listen with
increasing attentiveness to the depths of my soul. Daily
I waited, in hope and gratitude, for that sure belief and
steadfast love I had longed for in my life. In this process, I
met my God, as I understand Him. |
Pot Luck Guidance I
am divinely guided in everythingI think, say, and do. To
much information comes to me through my senses. My mind is flooded with so
many sensations and information, it can be overwhelming to try to make sense
of it all. When
I have a decision or a choice to make, I may seek some opinions and gather
information. But when I want to listen to my heart's guidance, I turn away
from my busy mind and toward my heart's wisdom. My
mind quiets as external input fades. In contemplative silence, my heart
opens. With patience and in trust, I wait. I may feel a whisper of guidance
in those moments or I may receive it later as a nudge to go somewhere or meet
someone. I
am grateful for divine guidance and the presence of God within as I move
toward my highest good. |
